Paralamas do Sucesso celebrates 40 years with a show at Allianz Parque, in SP

The Paralamas of Success they will play in the capital — in the state of São Paulo. The Allianz Parque stadium welcomes the trio formed by Herbert Vianna (guitar and vocals), Bi Ribeiro (low) and João Barone (battery), with monitoring of João Fera (keyboards), Monteiro Jr. (saxophone) and Bidu Cordeiro (trombone), for a special show on May 31, 2025. Dado Villa-Lobos (Urban Legion) and band are in charge of the opening.

This is a surprising move, given that, despite being one of the biggest names in Brazilian rock, Paralamas do not usually perform in stadiums as main attractions. There is also, as far as was informed, nothing new about the show to be offered: the performance is part of the tour “Classic Fenders”which has been running in Brazil since 2021 and, under the renewed title “Classic Fenders — 40 Years”has been circulating the country since 2023.

However, it is still an occasion to celebrate the legacy of the group formed in 1982 and in uninterrupted activity since then. Not even the microlight accident that left Herbert paraplegic in 2001 was able to stop the trio: after recovering, he and his colleagues resumed their activities with a new album and shows throughout Brazil.

In a 30th edition, the event will have tickets sold from December 16th, at 10am, on the Eventim (with fee), and at 11am, at the Allianz Parque ticket office (without fee). More information in the service at the bottom of the page.

The promise is for a repertoire that includes the greatest hits of Paralamas do Sucesso. The official statement cites songs such as “My Mistake”, “Lantern of the Drowned”, “Glasses”, “Wooded”, “The Alley”, “Perplexed”, “The Caliber”, “Wherever I Go”, “Following Stars”, “Vital and his Motorcycle” and “She Said Goodbye”.

30e also informs that the group will perform on June 7, 2025, at Farmasi Arena, in Rio de Janeiro; June 14, 2025, at BeFly Hall, in Belo Horizonte; and on June 28, 2025, in Porto Alegre, at the Araújo Vianna Auditorium, in Porto Alegre.
