Even with a fair amount of publicity that prioritized her work on the film “Wicked”, Ariana Grande’s popularity maintained the relevance of the album “Eternal Sunshine”. The track “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” has amassed 1.1 billion plays on Spotify throughout the year, standing out as one of their biggest recent hits.
Furthermore, songs from “Wicked”, such as “Popular” and “What Is This Feeling”, have helped keep the artist on the rise, strengthening his presence among the most listened to artists.
The Christmas success makes the numbers grow
With the arrival of Christmas, Ariana Grande also saw her popularity grow thanks to the successes of the season. “Santa Tell Me,” a Christmas classic released in 2014, returned to the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Her collaboration with Kelly Clarkson, “Santa, Can’t You Hear Me,” also gained prominence, cementing the singer’s position as a staple of the holiday season.
