Michael Bolton has posted a rare photo with his family to celebrate Christmas and New Year while undergoing treatment for a brain tumor. In the image, the 71-year-old singer is sitting in front of a Christmas tree, wearing a Santa hat and a Grinch-themed sweatshirt under a hoodie. Next to him, the women of the family wear matching Christmas pajamas. Bolton has three adult daughters – Isa, Holly and Taryn – who he shares with ex-wife Maureen McGuire, and is also a grandfather to six grandchildren.
She posted the photo on Facebook, accompanied by a positive message: “Sending warm wishes for a holiday season filled with peace, love and joy. May the new year bring health, happiness and countless moments to cherish. Here’s to new beginnings and moments beautiful.” in 2025!”
Diagnosis and recovery
Bolton was diagnosed with a brain tumor in late 2023, leading to emergency surgery earlier this year. He has since stepped away from the stage to focus on his recovery. βIt has always been the hardest thing for me to disappoint my fans or postpone a show,β the singer said at the time. He also stated, βI need to dedicate my time and energy to my recovery.β
He has since disappeared from the scene and the media.

With over 75 million records sold, Michael Bolton achieved stardom in the 1980s, both in his solo career and as the lead singer of the rock band Blackjack. He has released eight Top 10 albums, has had two No. 1 singles on the Billboard charts, and has been honored with two Grammy Awards and six American Music Awards.
