Artist hints that she will not abandon her work as a singer, although she has no plans at the moment
Since becoming famous, Selena Gomez divided between two careers. As an actress, the artist began as a child, with prominent works in Disney Channel and, more recently, in the series Only Murders in the Buildingbetween others. The position of singer was a consequence of the other work.
She herself approaches music as a “hobby that got out of control”. In other words: the performance must be kept in the focus of its actions.
Gomez has made it clear that acting is the priority. The performance praised as one of the protagonists in Only Murders in the Building may have contributed to the decision, but cinema and TV arrived in his life before music.
In an interview with Vanity Fairthe question arose about news in his second career. Selena he responded:
I don’t know if I’m ready (to return to music), you know? It’s a vulnerable space. Acting has always been my first love. Music is just a hobby that got out of control. It’s part of who I am now, so I don’t think I’ll stop — I’m just not ready yet.”
At least Selena suggests that he has not abandoned music. Gomez declared, even to the Vanity Fairkeeping in touch with friends in the music industry, as well as enjoying the album Brat (2024), by Charli XCXand continued to attend shows.

With success in the sitcom Wizards of Waverly Placewhich aired between 2007 and 2012 on Disney Channel, Selena Gomez signed with Hollywood Records — Disney’s record label — in 2008.
