Two armed men on motorcycles approached him as he was driving on Varnhagen Street. In videos posted on social media, the singer described the incident and warned of insecurity in the region.
“Look at my heart, I’m shit. Family, I just got robbed from Tijuca. Be careful Tijuca. Guys stole my phone, put the phone in my face, I thought I was going to die. I’m born again,” he declared.

During the approach, the criminals initially intended to take possession of the singer’s car, cell phone and watch. According to the report, the situation changed when the robbers realized who he was. “I said: ‘You can take it all’. Then he saw it was me, he gave it all back to me. The guy on the motorbike wanted to give me back the phone, I said: ‘put it down and I’ll take it’. Be careful in Tijuca, neighbor in Buxixo I have never seen anything like this in my life,” he said.
The singer warned about safety
Despite the unexpected ending, the singer reiterated the risks of violence in the region and denounced the tension experienced during the incident. “I think he was going to take my Rolex, he had already taken my phone and I think he was going to take my car too, but he saw it was me. Then, with his eyes wide open, he walked backwards, gun pointed against me, man. I got out of the car, put my cell phone on the ground and they didn’t rob me,” said Nego do Borel, who concluded with a warning: “Be very careful in Rio de Janeiro, especially in Tijuca .”
