End of Aerosmith
Aerosmith announced their retirement in August 2024, eleven months after their last show, held in September 2023. It was only the third date of their farewell tour, Peace Out. At the time, Steven Tyler suffered a fractured his larynx and made it to the end, but suffered irreversible damage to his vocal cords.
At first the group simply postponed commitments in an attempt to get back on track. Nearly a year later, they realized that would be impossible. Among all the members, the only one to announce a new musical project was bassist Tom Hamilton, founder of the band Enemies nearby.
