Singer and songwriter Rita Lee Jones, 74, will receive the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award 2022. The Latin Recording Academy has announced that this year’s awards ceremony will be held on November 17 in Las Vegas, USA.
Rocker, Rita Lee receives the honor in a year of good news: the artist beat cancer in April this year, when he announced that the disease had gone into remission.

The artist already received a Latin Grammy in 2001 for the album 3001, as the best rock album of that year. Considered the queen of Brazilian rock, Rita Lee began her career in the Os Mutantes group and, in 1979, began collaborating with Roberto de Carvalho, her life partner.
