Both bands come from England, have history with the hosts and are absent from the remarkable event for the same reason
THE Black Sabbath Prepared a farewell party for any Heavy Metal fan to put defect. Preceded by a series of attractions, the final show of the band’s original lineup will take place on July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, an English city where it all started for the singer Ozzy Osbournethe guitarist Tony Iommithe bassist Geezer Butler and the drummer Bill Ward.
In addition to Sabbath, Ozzy in a solo career, Metallica, Slayer, Panther, Gojira, Alice in Chains, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Anthrax and Mastodon. There is also a huge list of additional guests: Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), David Draiman (Disturbed), Duff McKagan, Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Lzzy Hale, Jake E. Lee, Jonathan Davis (Korn), Kk Downing, Mike Bordin (Faith no More), Papa V Perpetua (Ghost), Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Slash, Sleep Token II (Sleep token), Tom Morello and Wolfgang van Halen.
However, two very important names of Heavy Metal – and also from England – were left out. As observed by Mateus Ribeiro on the website Wiplash, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden They are not in the lineup presented by the organization.

And there is reason for that. Both groups will be touring, with shows marked exactly the same day in different cities. Priest plays in Hanover, Germany, while Maiden performs in Madrid, Spain. Fans of the first band will be represented only by Kk Downingguitarist who was part of Judas for decades, but left the formation at the beginning of the past decade.
Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden
Interestingly, Black Sabbath has history with Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. In the latter case, isolated characters.
Priest was also graduated from Birmingham, England, and its members watched Sabbath shows in the early days when the band was still far from fame. The vocalist of Judas, Rob Halfordhe even occupied the colleagues’ main microphone on two occasions: 1992, after a fight that led to the exit of Ronnie James Dioand 2004, when Ozzy suffered a serious bronchitis crisis. The relationship is of friendship.

Already with Maiden, has climate pie involved. In 2005, the bassist band Steve Harris It was one of the main attractions of Ozzfest, the traveling festival promoted by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourneyour wife/businesswoman. In several shows of the tour, the vocalist of the Iron Donize, Bruce Dickinsoncriticized the reality show The Osbournes, starring precisely by the couple quoted. In the final presentation of the tour, Sharon organized a shower of eggs toward Dickinson, and sabotaged the light and sound systems of performance.
Both Sharon and Ozzy guarantee that their problem is only with Bruce, not with Iron Maiden overall. So even if there was no show scheduled for July 5, maybe the sextet was not really invited.
