Presentation had to be suspended, with public already in line, due to the sewage problem that could compromise arena bathrooms in Perth
A show that Bryan Adams It would hold last Sunday at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, had to be canceled by one of the most unusual reasons as possible.
According to the The Guardiana “huge fat iceberg” emerged in the plumbing of the central area of the city. Authorities were concerned with the possibility that the sewage returned to the bathrooms of the event house, whose outdoor area was already taken by fans waiting for the open.
The concern came after, according to the city’s water company, the occurrence of a “large blockade of fat, grease and clothing”. With clogging, it overflowed water to nearby properties.
The event schedule provided for an opening show of James Arthur At 7:45 pm (local time), while Adams would take the stage at 21h. The site would be open approximately three hours before the first presentation, so that the public could already enter and settle.
Time passed and no updates. Only at 7:15 pm fans received a text message informing about a delay. Twenty minutes later, they were warned that the site would remain with the gates closed “due to an external water company problem.” The definitive cancellation came at 9 pm, when Adams should be starting the show.
Says the company responsible for the event:
“All existing ticket bearers will be notified of an update as soon as possible and need not take any action right now.”
In turn, the water supply company, Water Corporation, gave more explanations and also recommended that the population avoid contact with “accumulated water” in the region.
“Water Corporation teams are working to clean the great blockade of fat, grease and clothing residues that has caused various residual water overcrowding along the Wellington Street. Under public health guidance from the Health Department, the Bryan Adams show at RAC Arena tonight was canceled due to the risk of sewage to return to the local bathrooms. ”

Bryan Adams has been touring Australia since the end of January. The commitments are part of the tour that promotes the album So happy it hurts (2023).
More recently, the artist released his own label, Bad Records, and made available three singles: “War Machine”, “Rock and Roll Hell” and “Roll With The Punches”. The first two are rereading of his compositions that were eventually released by the Kiss In 1982 – the second also came out with the BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE years before.
