Rolling Stone Brazil: This is not the first time you wear someone from the song. How do you feel having a recognition between these artists?
Dario Mittmann: I started my career in this world. My first customers were from the music world. I started working with fashion at college in 2018, when Brazil’s pop scenario was on the rise with names like Pabllo Vittar, Iza, Rico Dalasam, Ludmillaand these artists hugged me. A curious fact is that I started my career by bringing gifts to the artists I liked at the shows to promote my work. And today these artists have become my clients.

RS: How did the invitation to wear Shakira?
DM: Shakira He knew my work in an advertising campaign, where he chose among several Latin America designers. We had a lot of creative synergy.

RS: How was the process of choosing the look for the show?
DM: It was a long process. We had an amazing partnership with her stylist, Nicolas Brumto reach the final design. It was about a month, between silhouette variations and print design. It was all created in the distance, because her team is in Miami.

RS: Did she place any special request?
DM: A curiosity was the lilac color chosen by her, because it’s your favorite. In addition, she watched a lot for the comfort of dance movements.

RS: What elements did you want to bring to the look?
DM: The elements are inspired by her album she Wolf (2009). I mixed the persona wolf Shakira With my visual identity, creating a piece that mixes tribal, wolves and crystals tattoos.

RS: Is there anyone you dream of dressing?
DM
: Dress up Shakira It was already a childhood dream. Put the RBD also. It would be too much to dream of dressing Lady Gaga? I owe a lot of my artistic persona to her.
