Brazilian artist reflected on the difficulties faced at the beginning of the band and what he would do differently in the early days of his career

One of the main extreme metal bands formed in Brazil, the Nervous It reaches 15 years of career with a series of achievements. The group led by the guitarist and now vocalist Prika Amaral It has five albums released by renowned Austrian label Napalm Records and tours of the world, as well as participation in relevant festivals such as Rock in Rio, Tons of Rock and Wacken Open Air-in this, they became the first attraction formed only by women to women touch the event.

The quartet today complete by Helena Kotina (guitar), Gabriela Abud (battery) and Emmelie Herwegh (Low, temporarily in the vacancy Help) was recently in Brazil with the commemorative tour of its 15th anniversary – which also went through Argentina and Chile and will follow, from March, to other countries. On national soil, they performed seven shows during the months of January and February.

In an interview with the journalist Igor Miranda to the Rolling Stone Brazilavailable completely on Youtube, Prika commented which advice would give herself at the beginning of the nervous. At first she talks about not being afraid and “following her heart,” but admits, “That’s what I did, so it’s hard.” So, complete:

“I think maybe more, studying more, you know? But it’s hard because we don’t have time, right? We have to marry many things and there in 2010, for example, I had college, had a job and still had two more bands, so it was a little difficult to get time, but suddenly managing it and focusing more on one Thing, maybe that would be my advice back there, because then I would have dedicated myself a little more. ”

Another theme addressed by Prika It was about the improvement in skill when playing so that they had a higher performance. With the routine she had at the time, it was not easy to dedicate herself exclusively to music. The artist reflected that with time and experience things improved, but if he could go back to the past, he would have a greater focus on these issues.

“Because we didn’t have much time to train, I didn’t have a road experience, and we’ve been playing. So, in the first shows, we missed a lot, the sound was not very good, but also these things we take the road, so I don’t know if it was going to help a lot, maybe a little, yes. But as I told you, I really didn’t have time for that, but if I had left a few things, concentrated a little more, maybe then I would have more time and would roll a little better, for sure. ”

In another part of the interview, the guitarist also commented on the plan to return to Brazil still in the second half of 2025 and perform more shows in other cities of the country. Logistics becomes a question, since perhaps it is necessary to make short tours between international dates.

To date, there are confirmed performances for countries such as France and Australia, with the last presentation on July 11.
