The artist was taken to the police station after a risky traffic maneuver. The crowd accompanied the police approach.
According to Portal G1, rapper Oruam was arrested on Thursday (20) in Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro, after trying to escape a police approach by performing a risky maneuver known as “Wooden Horse”.
The accident took place on the margins of the neighborhood and brought a large crowd of fans and curious around the military police car.
According to information obtained from the police sources, Oruam guided his vehicle when he was approached in a blitz. However, instead of stopping, the rapper would have tried to escape the guide wrong, endangering pedestrians and other pilots. The prosecutor promptly reacted, blocking the road and taking possession of the artist.
The video records circulating on social networks show the exact moment in which they ordered it are placed inside the van. The scene attracted a crowd of fans and residents of the region, who closely followed the police action. To disperse the spectators, the police used pepper spray, causing even more riots on the edge of Tijuca bar.
The rapper’s press office spoke of the case, affirming that Oruam was addressed to the sixteenth police station (Tijuca bar) and that “was stopped only in a blitz”. However, the images and reports of those present suggest that the situation was more complex than a simple traffic inspection procedure.
Who is oruam?
Oruam, whose real name is Mauro David Dos Santos Nepomuceno, distinguished himself in the scenario of national rap. His name of art is an anagram of his name, written on the contrary. The singer has the success “Oh girl i want you just for me”, one of the most listened to songs in Brazil on Spotify.
Despite the meteoric success, ORUAM also has to face controversy. His name has been involved in recent political discussions, with the invoices proposed to prevent the intake of artists and events that could presumably promote apologies for crime. His family history generates controversy: Oruam is the son of Marcinho VP, a figure known in the Red Command, and has tattoos in honor of his father and Elias Maluco, sentenced for the murder of the journalist Tim Lopes.
ORUAM’s arrest generated a great repercussion on social networks, with fans who demonstrated support for the rapper and questioning the police approach. To date, no information has been released on possible legal penalties for the singer, who follows in custody to provide clarifications.
The rapper’s advice promised to officially pronounce as soon as there are new updates on the case.
