ending of the Avengers introduced a number of major plot developments and fictional concepts that are still at play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe today. However, one of the biggest has to be time travel, which ultimately helped Earth’s Mightiest Heroes defeat Thanos. Loki (which is available for Disney + subscribers ) was the subsequent production of MCUs to show time leaps and, more recently, the complex and (dangerous) practice has re-emerged in Mrs. Wonder. Time travel came into play at a pivotal moment in the latest series and some may wonder if this incident syncs End of the gamePredefined rules. To that end, the show’s lead author, Bisha K. Ali, shared some insights.
Bruce Banner aka Smart Hulk is the one who designed the rules of time travel ending of the Avengers . The good doctor, e the screenwriters of the film, ignored Back to the Future and explained that changing the past will not automatically regulate the future. Instead, any kind of change could at some point lead to the creation of a branching reality. This was further developed Loki, in which agents of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) referred to these moments as Nexus events. And the mass organization doesn’t like those who try to manipulate the Sacred Timeline.
In Mrs. WonderKamala Khan was sent back to India in the mid-1940s, where she met her great-grandparents and a younger version of her grandmother, Sana. Prior to this point, the show had established that Sana had been separated from her father as they attempted to flee to Karachi and a trail of stars had brought her back to him. Well, as viewers eventually learned, it was Kamala who created these stars, after her dying great-grandmother asked her to lead Sana. When I spoke to Bisha K. Ali, I asked her if this violates any of the MCU’s time travel principles and she thinks it all works:
Yes, we had Avengers: Endgame. [rules] which you cannot re-enter accordingly [way]. … However, between Endgame and [Ms. Marvel], came another little show called Loki, where I was very involved in understanding how time could work. And I would say I think it would not have caused a Nexus event due to its inevitable. So it was a closed circuit. Here’s what happens. … And it was also the fact that a Nexus event is caused by … You know what? Someone will scold me, whether it’s a fan or Marvel. I can’t say which one. But I will say this, which made perfect sense to me and was consistent with what was established in the VAT, which seemed to be the last rule of the time, I think.
In addition to serving as the lead writer and EP on Kamala Khan’s solo series, Bisha K. Ali was a writer and story editor on the God of Mischief show. So she would definitely be an authority on how time travel works in the cinematic universe, and her reasoning makes sense. When she helped Sana find her father, Kamala didn’t really upset anything, she just realized something had to happen. I guess you could say she just helped her “fill a need” in the timeline.
Marvel has come up with some pretty tight rules for time travelers, and some fans seem to think they conflict with each other. when Loki fell, some wondered if his fixed rules for time travel ending of the Avengers problems in this direction. The jury may still be out, but I agree with Bisha K. Ali that TVA would serve as the beginning and end when it comes to the rules of time in the MCU.
With great things happening in the franchise over the next few years, you have to wonder if time travel will ever come back into play. The recently announced Phase Six slate is confirmed to include the film. . Avengers: Kang dynasty (who just found a director) and will see the heroes face the titular winner. Could they use time travel to defeat him like they did with the Mad Titan? Probably not, although I expect it to come back into play at some point along the way.
All episodes of Mrs. Wonder now streaming on Disney + (opens in a new tab) near Loki, ending of the Avengers and more amazing movies and TV programs.
