During an interview for a local TV channel, according to information from the NME, Devyn Sanford, a security guard who was moved, explained the development of the situation. “I woke up the next day and I was everywhere,” he recalled. “I’m still accepting everything now. […] I debated whether to buy tickets or work on the show. I decided to work and it was still so impactful for me.”

“It brought me back to when the song came out. I was going through a tumultuous time in my life at that point,” he continued. Sanford. “The words, the crowd around me, everyone was screaming, reaching Kendrick and crying – and I absorbed everyone’s emotions. I tried my best to hold back the emotion, but I just collapsed.”
