Trio was quoted for a version of Anything You Can from I Can do Better, but the collaboration never happened
A partnership between Madonna, Barbra Streisand and Bette Midler almost left the paper. In an episode of the podcast Barbra Archivesthe representative of A&R of Streisand, Jay Landersrevealed that the three stars were considered to record “Anything You Can Do I Can do Better”from the musical Annie Get Your Gunas part of the album Back to Broadway (1993).
The project came to advance, and the producer David Foster Created a special arrangement that would highlight the unique styles of each singer. The idea was that Madonna interpret your part with a disc beaten, while Bette Midler I would add a stretch that refers to “Wind Beneath My Wings”one of its greatest successes.
