Bahian Singer faces a new health challenge and suspends the concert program
The 58 -year -old singer Netinho was diagnosed cancer in the lymphatic system, as announced in an official declaration issued last Sunday (23).
The confirmation came after a series of exams at the Aliança hospital in Salvador, where the artist was hospitalized since February 25 to investigate intense back pain and locomotion difficulties.
From the discovery of the disease, Netinho has been under the care of the onco-hematological team led by Dr. Gloria Bonfim. After a period of hospitalization for detailed exams and definition of the best therapeutic approach, the singer was discharged on Friday (21), but is still under outpatient treatment with specialized support.
The official note stressed that the medical investigation was motivated by the history of the artist’s health complications, which has undergone serious situations in the past. In 2013, Netinho suffered serious liver bleeding and had to undergo three brain surgical interventions. Since then, he has used a brain valve for control of intracranial pressure.

As a result of the new diagnosis and the need to focus full of treatment, Netinho has chosen to cancel his agenda for the 2025 carnival.
There is still no prediction of the return to the stage and the priority is to guarantee its full recovery. Fans and friends continue to send support messages to the singer, who has an extraordinary story in Brazilian music, especially in Axé and Bahian music.
The Netinho family and team thanked the affection and concern of the fans and asked for respect for the singer’s privacy at this delicate moment.
