Musicevanescence launches the single ‘Afterlife’, soundtrack of the anime Devil May Cry

Amy Lee says that her band has been working on new compositions, but there is still no right date for her availability

After four years without releases, the Evanescence arrives with the single “Afterlife”which integrates the anime soundtrack Devil May Cry (2025). The song was composed of Amy Lee together with the producer and musician Alex Seaverbetter known as Mako. The production was in charge of Nick Raskulinecz and Seaver.

The Work of Animation Devil May Cryinspired by the game franchise of the same name, debut on Netflix next Thursday, 3. In the plot, a dark force threatens to break the barrier between the human and demonic worlds. It is up to Dantean orphan hunter, facing chaos without knowing that the fate of both kingdoms is in his hands.

The soundtrack will also be available at music streaming services from April 3. The singer of Evanescence shared, in an interview with Audacy Music (via Blabberouth), who had already worked with Mako on another occasion. When adding your vocals to “Afterlife”, Lee realized that this could be a song for his band:

“This ended up evolving to finish the music together and then we realized: ‘This is a song from Evanescence. Let’s call the band and take it to the end ‘. We had a chance to enter the studio with [o produtor] Nick Raskulineczwith whom we work on our last two albums and love to collaborate. He is here in Nashville, which makes everything more fun and easy for me and could simply pass there and bother him. And it all happened a little fast. ”

New songs from Evanescence

Amy Lee also commented that the Evanescence It is working on new songs, still with no exact release date. The singer revealed that they continue to compose among the shows and stated that the band is very excited about the future projects.
