Rock group presentations in Sao Paulo, Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro generated comments on social networks and the specialized press
THE Bush He was in Brazil for three presentations. One of them was broadcast throughout Brazil: at the festival Lollapaloozain São Pauloon March 30th. Already on April 1 and 2, respectively, the group led by the vocalist and guitarist Gavin Rossdale played in Curitiba (Wire Opera) and Rio de Janeiro (Vivo Rio).
The shows generated comments about alleged Rossdale playbacks. The singer would have resorted to the pre-recorded main voice at different times from the sets.

Journalist Rolf Amaro highlighted in text for the Igor Miranda website That, during the presentation at Lolla, two songs presented use of vocal playback: “More Than Machines” and “Flowers on a serious”. The text states:
“The difference was clear in the third song, ‘More than machines’this is totally based on playback. It happens fair when Gavin abdicates the base guitar and runs to the guys – literally, as it follows how far the grid allows it towards the sound tower. A curious rest for the voice. […] The refusal to accept the effects of time returns in ‘Flowers on a serious’. This and ‘More than machines’ They are from the most recent phase, with Gavin as a sole remaining member of the original formation. And they were the only ones playback reigned. ”
Some videos recorded during presentation in Curitiba also show the use of the tool. Check out one below.

Already in the performance of Rio de Janeiro, the journalist Marcelo Vieira, also for the Igor Miranda websitesays that Rossdale in part of the set “Abuse playbacks, not even worrying about disguising – sometimes ‘singing’ to two feet of the microphone and making a mistake”. “But the public, crowding Vivo Rio for the band’s latest commitment in the country, does not seem to care. […] The choir covers the vocal limitations of the frontman. The playback themselves denounce, with the pre-recorded voice sounding for a different PA from the live microphone. Again, no one gives a damn ”complements.
In turn, reporter Marco Antonio Barbosa pointed to Scream & Yell: “In (weak) performance in the last Lollapalooza, a lot of people on social media questioned not only Rossdale’s vocal capacity; there was also a distrust of playback. In the show in Rio, the sensation was similar. The volume of the voice oscillates a lot between one song and another, rising in the numbers where the singer left the guitar aside and downloading in others. Difficult to crash for sure..
There are, on the other hand, songs where the vocalist and guitarist does not use the device. “Glycerine” and “Swallowed”this in arrangement to Capella, seem to bring 100% live performance of the artist. Check out filming below.
