22 -year -old singer premiered at the festival with the surprise participation of Queen guitarist
Benson Boone made its debut in Coachella 2025 with a presentation by stunts, powerful vocals and a special participation of Brian Mayguitarist of Queen. The pair took the stage for a version of “Bohemian Rhapsody”, Closing the show with a performance that united theatricality, choir, dramatic lights and the iconic soil of the British band.
Dressed in a bright jumpsuit and hair cover, Boone began the song to the piano before jumping from the instrument and revealing May at the top of the stage. Collaboration was a partially kept secret – hours earlier, May had published a selfie alongside Boone on a plane to Palm Springs: “I will keep this moment. I am happy and proud to say that we are now officially friends,” he wrote.

After “Bohemian Rhapsody”, May also participated in the closing of the set with “Beautiful Things”, Track that projected Boone internationally and earned the artist an appointment to the Grammy of revelation artist.
During the show, Boone took the opportunity to announce his second album:
“I have one more ad to make. This is not just a song, it’s like ten. My second album comes out on June 20, 2025 and is called American Heart. ”

The title track was first presented on the festival stage. In an interview prior to Rolling StoneBoone revealed that the album has influences from Bruce Springsteen and sound focused on American: “It all started when I believed in Beautiful Things. Now I have an entire album, and I never believed it so much in such a job. ”
The repertoire also included “Cry”, “Drunk in My Mind”, “Slow It Down”-with Boone doing a somersault out of the piano-as well as “Forever and a Day”, with public participation in a time of Call-and-Response. He also debuted live the unpublished “Mystical Magical”.
