Confirmed band at The Town also left Argentina out, but in this case anticipated: “You’re the next one, stay tuned”
The agenda of Green Day In South America began to take shape on Monday, 19 months after being confirmed at the Paulistano Festival The Town as an attraction of September 7, the group confirmed that it will also perform in the Colombia (08/24), Peru (08/27), Chile (08/30) and Paraguay (09/15).
In the caption of the publication in which it reveals the news, the group said Argentina will enter the route soon. “Argentina, you are the next! Stay tuned”says the trio composed of Billie Joe Armstrong (voice and guitar), Mike Dirnt (low) and Cool (battery).
Many Brazilian fans were surprised by the absence of other commitments in the country. Rumors pointed out that the band would perform in Rio de Janeiro and in Curitiba parallel to The Town. The information was determined by specialized journalists, such as José Norberto Flesch and the portal Curitiba Cult.
It seems, however, such shows parallel to the event in São Paulo will be announced later. There will be no disclosure before the festival’s general sale of tickets, to start on May 27th.
Another clue that the agenda will win new shows is in the space on the agenda. For more than a whole week free between performances in Chile and The Town – and another week available in the São Paulo festival and the date in Paraguay. Parallel commitments in Brazil and the promised visit to Argentina should take place in this member.
