Guitarist will make his debut as a director with in a film that examines half a century of the band’s heavyweight grandeur


Heavy Metal legends Judas Priest will be the focus of a comprehensive documentary about his career, coding by Tom Morello.

The guitarist of Rage Against The Machine will make your debut in the direction with The Ballad of Judas Priestwhich will be released later this year by Sony Music Vision, according to the Variety. Sam Dunn will be the other codirector of the film, who – like the band – borrows his name from the song “The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest”.

The band said in a joint statement:

“We live and breathe metal for more than five decades, and finally in this documentary, we are calling our congregation to officially witness our lives without censorship, in a way never seen before… the cassock falls, revealing the Priest in all its metallic glory.”

The Ballad of Judas Priest It will draw the half -century legacy of the Heavy Metal band, from its origins in Birmingham, England, to its consecration at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. With the launch of Invincible Shieldin 2024, Judas Priest became the first name of the metal to release albums with a 50 -year interval – as their debut record, Rockhe reached public in 1974. During this period, the band made 19 studio albums available.
