Rock icon demonstrated solidarity with The Boss in the clash against the president of the United States: “It’s saying really serious things”
Bruce Springsteen won another ally in the clash against Donald Trumppresident of United States. After Neil Young, Pearl Jam and the Federation of American musicians (AFM) declare support for The Boss, now it was the turn of a member of LED ZEPPELIN also demonstrate solidarity.
During a show in the city of Tamperein Finland, Robert Plant He cried to the public to listen to what Springsteen has been saying about Trump and his management.
In the opening presentation of its new tour, held on May 14, in Manchester, EnglandSpringsteen affressed that the United States are in the hands of a president “Corrupt, incompetent and treacherous”.
Plant, in turn, manifested itself less incisively, but endorsing the words of Springsteen, according to the transcription of Classic Rock.
Read what he said:
“Right now, in England, where we came from – not exactly the land of ice and snow (pun with the lyrics ‘Immigrant Song’from Led Zeppelin) – Bruce Springsteen is touring United Kingdom. And he’s talking really serious things. So stay tuned. ”

Donald Trump vs. Bruce Springsteen
After Bruce Springsteen’s statements last week, Trump countered with posts on his platform Truth Social. The US President required a “big investigation” against Bruce, Beyoncé, Bono and other artists who demonstrated support for Kamala Harris in the 2024 elections.
Without presenting evidence, Trump claimed that Springsteen would have been “paid by Kamala Harris” to perform at campaign events – something he considered an “illegal contribution.”
Trump’s offensive against politically engaged artists seems to mark a new climb in the clash between pop culture and figures of power. This conflict has already become recurring in the political-cultural scenario of the United States.
The statements
Earlier this month, Bruce Springsteen said:
“In the United States, the richest men are pleased to abandon the poorest children in the world to illness and death. In my country, they are feeling sadistic pleasure with the pain that inflicts loyal workers. They are revoking historical civil rights legislations that have led to a fairer society. They are abandoning our great allies and aligning dictators against those who fight for their freedom.
At another show, in Manchester, England, the singer said the United States “In the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and traitorous administration”.
Trump responded with his usual fury. Last Monday, 19, the president threatened to open an investigation against Springsteen, accusing him of selling his support for the campaign Kamala Harris in 2024 in exchange for money.
The politician wrote:
“How much Kamala Harris paid Bruce Springsteen for her weak performance during her presidential campaign? Why did he accept this money if she’s so fan of her? That wouldn’t be a big – and illegal – campaign contribution? And Beyoncé? How much it was for Oprah and Bono? I will ask for a great investigation on this subject. ”
Trump had attacked Springsteen a few days earlier as he closed his trip through the Middle East, calling him “Donkey like a stone” and one “Dry rocker like a dry plum (his skin is all stunted!)”.
Already on Wednesday, 21, while Republicans in Congress faced a long analysis session of their main budget project, the president posted a video edited (presumably made by a fan) in which he overthrow the singer “Born in the USA” with a golf ball.
The video mixes a clip of Trump giving a shot at a Liv Golf event with a stretch of springsteen stumbled on stage during an Amsterdam show in 2023. A golf ball was edited in the video to seem to seem that the president had knocked down Springsteen.
