Musikaiser Chiefs announce 20 years reissue of the classic Employment

Commemorative version features unpublished tracks, s sides and rare remastered recordings straight from the band files

The British of Kaiser Chiefs announced a special reissue of Employmentthe band’s debut album that turns 20 in 2025. Originally released in 2005, the album boosted the group to Star with hits as “Oh My God”, “I predict a riot” and “Everyday I Love You Less and Less”and sold over 2.1 million copies in the UK.

To celebrate the date, the album will be relaunched on July 18 in three commemorative editions called China Anniversaryin reference to the traditional symbol of 20 years. Among the formats are a white vinyl version with the bonus track “Take my temperature”a double edition with 15 additional tracks (including B and Unpublished Sides), and a box with 3 CDs that brings together 40 rare recordings, such as Demos, Remixes, Radio Sessions and live performances.

The original version of the album was remastered in the iconic studios Abbey Roadand the extra material was carefully selected by the band’s own members.

The announcement precedes the great show that Kaiser Chiefs will do next Saturday (May 31) at Temple Newsam Park, in Leeds, hometown of the group, where they will play Employment in full.
