Ceremony marked return of the award after two years and had a presentation by Jennifer Lopez
The 51st edition of American Music Awards It was held on the night of Monday, May 26, in Las Vegas, marking the return of the award after a hiatus since 2022. The ceremony had Jennifer Lopez as a presenter and presentations by artists such as Benson Boone, Gloria Estefan and Gwen Stefani.
The highlight of the night was Billie Eilishwhich won in all seven categories in which it was indicated, including Artist of the year and Album of the yearwith Hit me hard and soft. The singer, who could not attend for touring in Europe, thanked for video: “This is crazy, I’m speechless. I wish I was there tonight”.
Other highlights of the night included honors to two music icons: Rod Stewartwho performed for the first time in AMA in over 20 years, and Janet Jacksonwhich received a honorary award for its trajectory in the industry.
