Songsteve Perry (Journey) auction personal items to help fire victims


All income collected with products will be intended for Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, an organization that offers financial support to musicians in difficulties


Steve Perry will auction items from your personal files – including handwritten letters from the Journeyplatinum discs, vintage products and more – to raise funds in support of the victims of recent forest fires in California.

The vocalist joined Darkives Collectibles, the new platform of archival memory created by Dhani Harrison and Dark Horse Records, to make the auction, which features over 50 items from Perry’s personal collection. All income will be intended for Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and the auction is already underway, scheduled to end June 13.

Perry said in a statement:

“I’m excited to open my personal archives and give fans who have supported me over the years the chance to have a piece of my musical trajectory. Each item in this collection comes directly from my collection. These pieces have been carefully guarded for many years, and now I feel that it is the right time to pass them from my hands to yours, to be enjoyed, remembered and valued in their own collections.”

The musician continues:

“Some of the special items include handwritten lyrics, my own gold and platinum records, albums in my personal collection, test pressing and even past touring merchandising. And most importantly: the entire collection of this auction will be intended to support the victims of the Los Angeles fires with the help of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. make a difference together. ”

Among the many notable items of the Steve Perry collection that are being auctioned are the handwritten lyrics of the Journey classics “Don’t Stop Believin” and “Faithfully”a platinum disc from the collection Journey’s Greatest Hitstest pressing and tours of the 1980s.

Dhani Harrison added:
