The legacy of one of the main icons of Brazilian music is about to receive an unprecedented chapter. This Thursday, 12, debuts the largest exhibition ever dedicated to the trajectory of Cazuza.
Baptized from Exaggerated cazuzathe exhibition in Rio de Janeiro brings together more than 700 items and objects people such as costumes, manuscripts, photos, rare videos and documents of singer, poet and composer. In all, the public will be able to travel nine scenographic and technological rooms that reconstruct the different stages of the career of Cazuzasince childhood, going through the period in the Red baron And the solo trajectory until his death, at the age of 32, in 1990. Among the highlights are, for example, a recreation of the Canecão dressing room, where he last performed.

The show also marks the 35 years of death of the singer and the 40th anniversary of the album Exaggerated (1985), the first solo work of Cazuza and one of the great milestones of his career.
“It will be an opportunity to open our chest of memories and stories, which I am proud to say that it was preserved as only one mother would do,” he said Lucinha Araújomother of the artist, who participated in the organization of the exhibition with the seal of the Viva Cazuza Foundation. The exhibition is curated by Ramon Nunes Mello and artistic direction of Caselúdico.

In addition to the exhibition, the singer is the theme of the documentary CAZUZA, GOOD NEWwhich reaches Brazilian theaters in July. The news addresses one of the most intense, productive and symbolic periods of the life of Cazuza: Between 1987 and the beginning of 1989, facing the diagnosis of AIDS and a severe health aggravation, the artist lived a creative explosion, releasing three albums, being awarded countless times and performing more than 40 performances with the show Time does not stop.
