Ronsonwho has long wanted to work with Rayespoke about the creative encounter as something “written in the stars.”
I admire the art of Raye For years, seeing his evolution of composer for this incredible artistic force. When the AUDEMAS PIGUET He joined us, everything seemed to happen at the right time. This is not just another collaboration, we dive into it. We had recording sessions dawn in London, New York and Los Angeles. What we created together carries the musical DNA of both, but also leads us to places that we would not come alone.
To Rayethe meeting was more than symbolic.
All about this song, and this moment with the Mark and the Apit seems intended. When I was just an artist in formation, I worked in the studio of Mark In London, still learning to compose. I always dreamed of the day when we could create something together.
In an interview behind the scenes of the Governors Ballin New York, the British artist revealed that, despite the excitement, he hesitated to accept the partnership, especially because of the constant comparisons between her and Amy Winehousewith whom Ronson signed the legendary Back to black.
To be honest, I was very nervous and even scared of the idea of working with him. I want to make it clear that never, I never tried to replace or imitate Amy. I am completely fascinated by her, as we are all. We miss her every day.
She adds that she had to put these fears aside to embrace the project. “It was hard to allow me to create freely with him. But I thought, ‘Want to know? I need to forget what others will say.
