Music Hope and Glorilla launch powerful partnership in the single “Killin ‘It Girl”

Track marks the fourth solo music of the BTS member in 2024, after completing the mandatory military service

J-hopefrom BTScame back with another solo single: “Killin ‘It Girl”a partnership with Memphis rapper Glorilla.

Produced by Cirkut, Inverness and Blake Slatkin, the track begins with a dried and pulsating beat, which opens in the chorus with grandiose pop synthesizers. J-hope Deliver verses of enchanted devotion – “looks like twenty, from Korea to Miami / I want you the worst way” – while Glorilla Parades sharp and trusted rhymes: “Rental killer, Mike Glo Myers / My Leap from their neck, without taking / I can take your man and have you solve in court.”

“Killin ‘It Girl” also gained a music video, directed by Cody Critcheloe. Despite J-hope and Glorilla Having clearly recorded their scenes in different places, both appear in the video, with a black cat serving as a link between the two worlds.

This is the fourth solo song released by j-hope in 2024after “Lv bag” (with Don Toliver, Speedy and Pharrell), “Sweet Dreams” (with Miguel) and “Mona Lisa”. The flood of new releases came after the completion of its compulsory military service in South Korea last October.

Already Glorilla released his debut album, Gloriousalso in October 2023, and since then shared Single Solo “Type”besides participating in tracks of artists such as Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco, Ice and Jorjiana.

In an interview with Rolling Stone in March, J-hope He said that time in the army served as a break to reflect and seek new references. “I think the rest period, which came naturally with the situation, turned out to be an opportunity for further exploration”he said. “I found a lot of new inspirations and had a lot of time to think about the future. I also started planning what I wanted to do when I finished military service.”

Before you enlist, J-hope released his first solo album, Jack in the box. Already in March 2024, he shared some extra tracks in the EP Hope on the street vol. 1.

As to BTSalmost all members have already completed military service. This week, Jimin, Jungkook, Rom and V received the official dismissal, joining the J-hope and Jinwhich ended in 2023. Only Suga It is still in service, but must be released by the end of June.
