Crowded stadiums, costumes and glamorous stars of the public have marked the “radical optimization tour”
On the night of June 20 he joined the history of Dua Lipa and was not only for the public of 70,000 people at the Wembley Stadium in London.
Exactly a decade after singing only 350 people in its debut in the city, the British pop star celebrated a meteoric increase with two exhausted shows on the largest stage in the United Kingdom. The “Radical Optimm Tour” was, according to the artist herself, “a dream that came true in bright colors, glitter and love”.
From the splendid costumes to unexpected special apparitions, the show was an presence bathroom, voice and charisma.
In just two hours, Dua has changed the costumes five times, always in pieces signed by iconic brands. One of the most discussed graphics was the blue Balenciaga blue dress, accompanied by a coat flanked by Union Jack, the British flag a tribute to its homeland.
Another culminating point was the silver body covered with Swarovski crystals, with the Louboutin boots, which gave the futuristic tone of the new phase of the singer.
In the VIP cabin, the family and the celebrities contributed to composing the scenario as a protagonist. The mother and sister of Dua, Anesa and Rina, saw the show together with the actor Callum Turner, groom of the artist. Among the names of Showbiz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was also present.
Before going on stage, Dua was surprised by a bouquet sent by Spice Girls, who left a loving message: “This is the girl’s power! We love you!”
The two nights also had distinct moments that aroused (and divided) fan. In the first show, Dua shared the voice with Jay Kay, singer of the band Jamiroquai, playing the classic “virtual madness”. The presentation was praised, but has generated inevitable comparisons with the guest of the second day: Charli XCX, treasure of alternative pop and the current feeling of criticism.
On social networks, some fans have expressed frustration for having witnessed the “wrong” show. “It was an extraordinary presentation, but having charli the next day seems unfair,” commented a Netizen. Another wrote:
“Most of the audience is young. Bringing an artist from the 90s was strange, even if Jay Kay has talent.”
Despite the opinions divided, nobody contested Dua Lipa’s performance, which was impeccable in every respect. His vocal delivery, acute choreography and a lot of charisma have confirmed that the singer not only hit the top, but is ready to stay there.
Dua Lipa: Pop in its most powerful form
Dua Lipa has shown that the mixture of nineteen nostalgia with the sophisticated and dancers pop of the new generation can (and should) live on the same stage. The “radical optimization tour” is not only a celebration of the present, but a milestone of artistic maturity. And if the next ten years are like Tonight in Wembley, the sky will certainly not be the limit.
