The “group” went viral and gained wide media coverage after emerging out of nowhere in June and appearing in Spotify’s popular playlists. They also inspired an alleged impostor, who used the name ANDrew FRELON And now it claims to have passed by the band’s spokesman X (old Twitter) and in interactions with the press – including a telephone interview with the Rolling Stone. In an extensive medium post, he claimed that his farce, which lasted several days, aimed to test the media.
Spotify’s biography continues: “All characters, stories, music, voices and letters are original creations generated with the aid of artificial intelligence tools used as creative instruments. Any resemblance to places, events or real – alive or deceased – is purely coincidence and unintentional. Not totally human. Not totally machine. The velvet sundown lives somewhere between the two. ”
