In an interview with Living Seranejo, Marrone even said that the moment was one of the worst of his life. “I spent many difficult phases in my life. The glaucoma that I did now was not easy, only people who pass and God himself,” he said.
“I was very depressed, the crisis of anxiety too,” he added. Emergency surgery carried out by Marrone took place on June 17, 2024, at the Goiânia Eye Hospital.
At the time, the singer made routine exams when it was surprised by the news of having an advanced glaucoma in both eyes. After the procedure, Bruno’s second voice lost part of the peripheral vision.
From discovery to surgery, the path was not easy for the artist. In the television program, he opened his heart and detailed the episodes of anxiety he had to face after the diagnosis. Even next to Bruno on the road, the compatriot thought he had tried to hide the malaise of his friend.
“I had moments, that sometimes he [Bruno] You don’t even know. He has already gave me a vomiting, the fear of entering the stage, crazy anxiety, depression. Thank God I could do the show, “he recalls.
Two weeks after the procedure, Marrone had already returned to the stage. The first show of the duo after the intervention took place on 4 July of the same year.
After the fear of the diagnosis of advanced glaucoma, Marrone also underwent another adversity. On May 10 of this year, the singer suffered a fall after false on stage during a show of the duo. The accident gained the artist a hospitalization, 15 points on the forehead and five broken ribs.
