Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios did everything they could before the release of Spider-Man: No homecoming, to protect the fact that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were returning to the franchise as part of a multiverse twist. Poor Garfield, who had half a dozen projects to promote, categorically denied any involvement no way home Many times, no one knew exactly what to believe. Part of the reason fans were hoping the historic reunion could actually happen is because they were getting some valuable information “from inside the house.” Mainly, Jamie Foxx was posting stuff on Instagram.
When the news came The Incredible Spider-Man 2 Star Jaime Foxx will reprise his role by Max Dillon, aka Electro, a Spider-Man: No homecomingthe fans were amazed let everything move regarding the three Spider-Men together on the screen. The Instagram post she shared looked like this:
He turned the film’s hand over and basically leaked the biggest rumor that Sony and Marvel would try to keep the secret until Spider-Man: No homecoming created in the theater. So when we got a chance to sit down with Jamie Foxx on behalf of his new Netflix comedy Day shift, we discussed his involuntary escape and the reception of the film. And he told us:
It was crazy. It was like a … it was like a rock concert when we made this movie. And I thought Sony had done a fantastic mystical job. Do you know what I’m talking about? Keeping things, putting things away, you know, I almost ruined everything. … As soon as I arrived on the set and there were the three Spider-Man, I was like that (takes the cell phone). ‘Oh, here we are, baby,’ about to air … ‘And someone rushed at me like fire. I was like, ‘What is this?’ ‘Silence! Nobody should know. «All right, my bad. Okay, we shouldn’t know they’re all three here! But I think they did a great job of doing it, bringing in some mystique. And I think that’s what it took to get people back to the theater.
It worked. Spider-Man: No homecoming that was the movie brought most of the audience back to the theater en masse following the COVID restrictions that hit the theater world, earning over $ 1 billion in tickets sold worldwide. The film will return to theaters in September with a longer cut, adding 15 minutes of footage, hoping to increase that already impressive box office. Maybe Jamie Foxx will tell us what’s in the images by posting them his instagram .
Waiting Spider-Man: No homecoming For a throwback to theaters, check out Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco as fairly talented vampire killers on Netflix. Day shiftarrive on the streaming service on August 12.
