In an interview with Luiz Carlos Marten for the newspaper EstadãoNey lamented that the movie has Gone for too fast streaming. According to him, there was demand to keep him exclusive on the big screen longer.

However, for contractual reasons, Man with hwhich debuted in theaters on May 1, reached the Netflix Shortly after a month on June 17.

Ney comments:

“I was not a producer, I had no voice about it. Netflix’s money was very important for production, but they stipulated, by contract, a very short window. By me, the movie would only go to streaming after making 1 million (of spectators). I believe it would get there.”

Ney Matogrosso praises direction

As for the script and the development of history, Ney says there is nothing to complain about. The artist was pleased with the veracity of the film, something he made a point of charging the director Smir Filho at the beginning of the project.

“I just made one requirement – that the movie was true, had no lie. Smir (son, the director) took certain freedoms, exchanging dates, gathering situations, but it was due to the dramatic efficiency of the narrative.”
