THE Slipknot It will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its 1999 (slightly late) homonymous debut album with a relaunch that brings over 40 unreleased recordings.
Before the launch of Slipknot (25th Anniversary Edition) On September 5, the band Mascarada shared the original demo of the track “Prosthetics”who recorded before entering the Ranch Indigo in Malibu to start working at the LP; A more refined version of the track would eventually appear on the debut album. The 25th anniversary edition brings together the original album, two recordings of those sessions on Indigo Ranch, as well as another Demos album that the band recorded before entering the studio. The set of six LPs is finished by two live recordings: five songs from the 1999 intimate show in Hartford and a collection of groups from the group’s tour of the UK at the end of 2000.
Slipknot (20th Anniversary Edition) It is available for pre-registration abroad. The material will be released in some formats, including a limited edition of 6 LPs with breathless vinyl vinyl, a 2 LP version, a 2 CD version and digital. An ultimate version of only 100 copies, with “full of blood” vinyl, sold out quickly on the group’s “secret” site even before the reissue announcement.
About the album honored
Released in June 1999, Slipknot’s debut album quickly turned Iowa’s group into an attraction capable of crowding arenas. “We loved what we did with the first album, but we didn’t even know if there would be something after that”said the guitarist Jim Root in a statement. “We just wanted people to hear. Exhausting records and shows, making successful tours – these are objective for any band. But the dream scenario, in a way, has come true for us.”
