Thousands say goodbye to Ozzy on the streets of Birmingham, in an exciting ceremony with family presence and live broadcast on the internet
The rock world stopped on Wednesday (30) to say goodbye to one of its greatest legends: Ozzy Osbourneoriginal vocalist of Black Sabbathwho died on July 22, at the age of 76. The funeral procession, held in Birmingham, the singer’s hometown, brought together thousands of fans in a historic goodbye and loaded with emotion.
Starting at Broad Street, the route headed towards Black Sabbath Bridge, a symbolic meeting point for fans and places where flowers, letters and memories have been left in recent days. The procession was led by a metal band, which played classics like “Iron Man” and “Crazy Train”.
At the most moving moment of the ceremony, Sharon Osbourne left the car next to the children Jack, Kelly and Aimee. The procession preceded a private funeral whose details were not disclosed to the press. The commotion, however, won the social networks with the live broadcast of the event, accompanied by thousands of fans around the world.
