Adaptation of The Twits, by Roald Dahl, will feature unpublished songs composed by the lead singer Heads and the leader of Paramore
David Byrnevocalist and founder of Talking Headsand Hayley Williamsvocalist of Paramorewill join forces to create original songs from the The Twitsnew Netflix animation based on the classic children’s classic Roald Dahl.
Byrne Signs three songs played by the cast – including “We’re Not Like Ev’ryone Else”, “Lullaby” and “The Problem Is You” – and collaborates with Williams In the song of final credits, “Open the Door”.
Directed by Phil Johnston (Zootopia), adaptation marks the first time the book The Twits It reaches the screens. The plot reimagines the obnoxious Mr. and Mrs. Twit as owners of a grotesque amusement park called Twitland. In the center of history, two brave children and a magic Muggle-Wump family struggle to save their city.
The cast of voices brings names like Johnny Vegas (MURDER ON THE BLACKPOOL EXPRESS), Margo Martindale (Melou), Emilia Clarke (game of Thrones), Natalie Portman (Black swan) and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (I never…). The debut is scheduled for October 17, produced by Jellyfish Pictures.
