The Samba School reported that the singer’s farewell will start for 18 hours, in gurim format. The tribute, open to the public, will extend until 10 on Sunday morning, 10.
Gurfim is a festive trail, marked by music, food and memories, to honor those who have broken and celebrate their passage to another dimension. This tradition was brought to Brazil by slaveized Africans.
