OUT OF JUNIOR LIMA
It was not the first time that Junior Lima opened his heart and made statements about his sexuality. In 2024, the artist participated in the program High hoursfrom the Rede Globoand also approached the subject.
At the time, he considered that the debate about his sexuality was born by the way he danced on stage in the days of the duo with Sandy:
“It was another period, another time, but there was a lot of prejudice. (A boy dance) was a kind of different, half new thing, and then wondered (about sexuality). And I really wiggled, I didn’t care!”
And he added, admitting that the prejudiced and joke comments affected him:
“At some point, yes, they hurt me. But the coming of maturity (helped to overcome). It was a time when we didn’t understand that (the other’s sexuality) doesn’t matter.”
