Music of Achilles Priester and Thomas Lang for Brazil yields new documentary


With debut in September, “Too Close – Too close” will show backstage of the tour that visited 20 Brazilian cities at the beginning of the year


A new documentary will portray the backstage of the recent Brazilian tour held by drummers Achilles Priester and Thomas Lang. “Too Close – Too close” It will have its debut at the Olido Cultural Center, in São Paulo, on September 9, at 19:30. Tickets are on sale on the Achilles official website.

The tour, baptized “Destruction of two bubbles”he traveled 6,400 km and passed 20 Brazilian cities during the last month of February. In addition to capitals such as Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte and Florianópolis, Giro included cities such as Piracicaba (SP), Pouso Alegre (MG), Jaraguá do Sul (SC), Bento Gonçalves (RS) and Paranavaí (PR), usually outside the route of initiatives of the type.

“Too Close – Too close” It has 4K direction and filming Thiago Bandas Drum’on. In addition to portraying the performances, the film shows the road routine and the challenges faced by a team of eight professionals – the largest ever gathered by Achilles for a Drum Show.

“The idea was to show what no one sees: the tiredness, the difficulties and the energy that keeps everything in motion.”

Priester joined the band Di’annofrom the vocalist Paul di’anno (ex-Iron Maiden), before joining Angra and gaining notoriety inside and outside Brazil. Was part of the group between 2000 and 2009.
