30 years of Gold: ABBA announces commemorative edition of the album

In 1992, the ABBAgathered 19 of his most famous songs on the disc ABBA Gold: Greatest Hits. Now, in honor of the 30 years of the renowned compilation, the Swedish group will re-release the album, but with very special details (check out the official announcement below).

According to billboard, the album can be purchased in three commemorative versions. In addition to a gold cassette tape, the collection will still be available in a set of two gold vinyl records, or two illustrated vinyls with photographs of the band.

With launch scheduled for the day September 23ththe new versions of ABBA Gold: Greatest Hitswill feature great hits from the Swedish group. Among the 19 tracks are titles like “Dancing Queen”, “Mamma Mia”, “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” and “Waterloo”.

Since it was first released on September 21, 1992, the compilation has sold over 30 million copies. For this reason, it has even been re-released on other occasions, such as in 1999, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the ABBA; again in 2002, on the album’s 10th anniversary; and again in 2010, to coincide with the premiere of the feature Mama Mia.

The return of ABBA

In May of this year, the ABBAreunited once again for their first public appearance in years away from the spotlight. Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Anderson, Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad attended the red carpet for the launch of voyagean innovative tour featuring digital versions of themselves.

Unlike anything the Swedish group’s fans knew, the tour featured songs from voyagealbum released by the artists in November 2021. In addition to a Christmas song, the album also features the tracks “I Still Have Faith in You” and “Don’t Shut Me Down”.
