Band is running the planet with their farewell tour celebrating Life Through Death; idea is to end the group at some point in 2026
Fans of Grave Throughout the planet they were surprised when the group announced almost two years ago that it would perform a farewell tour. THE Celebrating Life Through Death It started in March 2024 and it is expected to extend until 2026, putting an end to the band created in 1984 by the brothers Max and IGGOR CAVALERA – who are no longer part of the formation.
Amid the long sequence of shows, which should go through dozens of countries, the quartet composed today by Derrick Green (voice), Andreas Kisser (guitar), Paulo Jr (low) and Greyson Nekrutman (battery) must release unpublished songs. The material is already recorded.
In a new interview with Mystic Talks, during the Polish Festival Festival festival, guitarist Andreas Kisser commented on the new songs. According to Blabberouth transcription, he said:
“We recorded four new songs with Greyson on drums. We have four new songs and we want to release an EP next year, just to celebrate this moment. We are trying to define when will be the ideal time to do this.”

According to Kisser, the tracks were initially conceived during the American Cruise 70,000 tones of metal, where the grave performed earlier this year.
“It was very spontaneous. We had a situation where we played in the 70,000 tones of metal and stayed in Miami. We thought: ‘We have this studio. We have some ideas. Okay, let’s do’ .. [Risos] And it was great. No pressure from record labels, no delivery date. The songs don’t even have names. We can decide this later. We are still mixing the material. Because of the idea of the farewell tour, we can do this too, plan something like this – or not, plan as little as possible to challenge ourselves artistically. ”
Live album and … ballad
In an interview with former MTV VJ Sarah Oliveira, in the My Song project, Andreas Kisser said that a few songs would be recorded, aiming to compose an EP. In addition, a live album must be released.
“We want to record all our shows to release a live CD and maybe releasing about 3 or 4 unreleased songs with Greyson on drums. We’re talking about some things, some unpublished.”
One of the tracks, even, can be a ballad. The grave has already come close to this model on more recent albums, but never made a song of the type itself.
“We have the big dream of writing a ballad that we can never do! [risos] In metal there are so many bands with this capacity. We tried a few times, but it never was. ”
Regarding the live album, Andreas has said in several interviews that the proposal is to release a work with 40 songs recorded in 40 different cities. For this, all presentations are being recorded.
