The Belarusian group’s return to Brazil takes place on November 15th, at the Tokyo Marine Hall; Jenni Sex will open the evening’s work
“Dark, immersive and danceable post-punk, with nuances that could rock a dance floor from the remote 1980s”. This is how the Jenni Sex defines your sound. Now, the trio from São Paulo is once again the opening attraction of the Molchat Doma in the unique show that the Belarusian band performs in Brazil — repeating the double from 2022, when the Belarusians performed in the country for the first time.
The reunion is scheduled for November 15th, at the Tokio Marine Hall, in São Paulo. The show is a 30e achievement. There are only a few tickets available on the Eventim website and at the Allianz Parque box office.
Formed by Oliveira Helders (vocals, guitar, effects), Danilo Lima (bass, effects) and Caliban (drums), Jenni Sex released their latest album, Healing Kissin 2023, through the Wave Records label. The group echoes influences from Bauhaus, Joy Division and The Chameleons. A statement highlights that the sound brings “hypnotic guitars, dense synths and enigmatic lyrics”.
About Molchat Doma
In 2023, when the Molchat Doma made its debut in Brazil, the concert hall Audioin São Paulo, became an area where language barriers simply ceased to exist. Hundreds of young fans filled the venue and created an electric atmosphere of pure anticipation and anticipation. There, that night, it was clear that the mechanical beat and the melancholic voice sung in Russian were able to make themselves felt in the chest of a generation that may never understand a single word of what must be said, but feels every syllable in the soul.
The trio from Minsk, Belarus, formed by Egor Shkutko (vocal), Roman Komogortsev (bass, guitar and synthesizers) and Pavel Kozlov (drums and synthesizers), built his career transforming the dark aesthetics of post-punk and darkwave from the 1980s into something that touches and speaks directly to today. Since the viral explosion of “Судно (South)”, which reached one million streams shortly after going viral on TikTok in 2020, Molchat Doma became a phenomenon: a Belarusian band singing in Russian that won over audiences at gigantic festivals across Europe and the United States.
But their previous visit to São Paulo made it clear that the group is much more than a viral hit. It’s a band with a solid discography and a sound identity that mesmerizes audiences around the world.
Now, with your new album, Belaya Polosa (2024), and a tour intense with more than 30 shows us United States in 2025, the group is preparing to return to Brazil, and, this time, the promise is clear: more experience, new music and the same brutal honesty that made an entire house in São Paulo pulse like one único sound of synthesizer.
