The singer received tributes from several artists and recalled moments such as the interpretation of Nada Será Como Antes in a video recorded in the 1970s

Milton Nascimento celebrate yours birthday 83 years old age this Sunday, October 26th. The singer’s team took advantage of the appointment to share a series of old photos from his personal collection on the artist’s official Instagram, also revered by countless colleagues.

Among the remembered moments from Bituca’s life are a performance of Nada Se Como Antes in a video recorded in the 1970s, a photo from when he was a child, another dressed in formal clothes as a young adult, through photos taken at the height of his career to a recent one, in which he appears seated and wearing a cap. Check out the images in the post above.

His son, Augusto Kesrouani Nascimento, mentioned the date while showing more photos from recent trips with his father: “Today the most amazing guy in the world turns 83. The best travel companion. Excellent co-pilot. The most passionate about lemon popsicles.”

Many other big names in music also posted their tributes, such as Chico Buarque, Djavan, Samuel Rosa, Gilberto Gil, Chico César, Frejat, Maria Bethânia, João Bosco, Paulinho Moska, Evandro Mesquita, Chico César, Hamilton de Holanda.

Margareth Menezes, Minister of Culture of the federal government, celebrated his work: “Long live Milton Nascimento! The greatest master of timeless singing. Congratulations and thank you for everything.”

Musician Pedro Martins shared a recent video in which he appears playing the guitar together with Bituca. “Best guitar teacher I’ve ever had! Congratulations to the greatest of them all,” he wrote in the caption.

Milton Nascimento was recently diagnosed with dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), an irreversible neurodegenerative disease. The revelation was made by Augusto, son of Milton Nascimento, in early October.
