The band Muse released the video for “You Make Me Fell Like It’s Halloween”, full of references to horror classics. The first reference is even musical: a tribute to John Carpenter’s synthesized scores.
Not surprisingly, the video opens with a convertible car similar to the demonic vehicle in Carpenter’s 1983 hit “Christine”. But when the hooded characters enter the video’s haunted house, quotes from “The Shining”, “It” and a plethora of other attractions also emerge, culminating in a flood of iconic masks – from “Friday the 13th”, “Panic” and ” V for Vendetta”.
Directed by Tom Teller, who previously worked with Muse on the videos for “Algorithm” (2018) and “Will of the People” (2022).
The song is part of the band’s new album, “Will of the People”, also released this Friday (26/8).
