Fans who were unable to purchase tickets on the official sales website lose money when transferring to scammers

A few days from Rock in Rio, the biggest music festival is already sold out. Therefore, some fans of the bands attending the event resort to buying entry passports in sales groups. However, some of them end up falling into fake sales scams and losing their money.
It was the case of Lohanna Calisto da Conceição, who wanted to see the Justin Bieber concert. She also made a video call with the seller and she thought she was making a safe deal, as shown in the affiliate report of TV Globe Rio de Janeiro.
“I made the video call with him, he showed me the fake ID and he showed me his face. Then I thought: ‘ah, how can a person come and show his face and the document and not be him?’. I believed him. He went there and disappeared ”.
The situation repeats itself with Emanuelle Nunes, who also opted for the purchase from a third party, as she wanted to see the Coldplay show. “I tried to buy from the official site in all ways, and every time I tried, it sold out. The only way out was to try to buy from third parties. This guy commented [no grupo] saying I had half a ticket ”.
She transferred R $ 165 to the scammer, who still teased her via the messaging app. “Do you really believe this identity is mine? Nothing of mine is original. Waste of time you are still advertising [o golpe]”Said the criminal.

Emanuelle dreamed of seeing the band, but was left alone with the trauma of falling into the scam and running out of money. “Something that was supposed to be a recreation for me, a diversion, the dream of seeing a band I loved, of going to Rock in Rio, where I had never been, ended up being a loss,” he complained.
Scammers act the same way: they advertise the sale on social media, negotiate the ticket and, after receiving the money, block the person who made the transfer. In some sales groups on social networks, users warn of scams. They post their profile photos and report how the deal went, so that more people aren’t victims.

In an interview with RJ1festival ticket office director Juliana Ribeiro said you have to be careful when buying tickets to the event from people you don’t know.
“Do not buy tickets from someone you do not know. The only safe way to receive the ticket is to transfer it from a friend. Always through the ticket.com platform. It is not possible to enter with a print, with cpf, with e-mail” , explains.
This year, Rock in Rio will have no physical tickets. Participants must download the ticket through the purchasing platform and save the ticket on their mobile device. The transfer to another person must be done days before the show, as the instrument will not be available that day, according to Juliana.
“The transfer of the ticket is not allowed on the day of the event. Don’t buy tickets at the festival door. Only the buyer can transfer the ticket. This process is safe, performed exclusively on the ticket.com platform. It has a two-step security process, which is to invite someone, just send an email and follow the processes of the transfer platform correctly, ”she concludes.
