The ghost is the protagonist Haunted housemusic by Fresno whose clip will be released on Wednesday 14th. But obsession is not wearing a white sheet or is a figure. In pre-launch, Tuesday evening, 13, at BMG Brasil, in Sao Paulo, the band talked about the song, the clip, the presentation on stage of Itaú / TikTok Rock in Rio and the projections for the future – including stating that be compatible with larger festival spaces.

By asking for “apologies for being so”, the music takes the place of the confession of internal problems and the attempt not to project them onto a figure of the “Other” as an emotional overload.

The clip represents the house as an enclosed environment. The mind is placed in a messy room, like a falling ceiling. It is as if the interior is reproduced in the environment – external to the individual. The enclosure reproduces the moment when music began to be conceived – still in the pandemic – but, in addition, it exposes the mind and its internal ghosts in the music.

“Sometimes, there are people who have never bothered to take care of themselves, they end up being a simple burden of obsession. Everyone has always sought peace of mind, but, deep down, there are things that remain. with us “, says Lucas Silveira, singer and composer of music on the constancy of anguish. He also says that the “atmosphere” of the haunted house is linked to the isolation of the pandemic, when the “noises of the house” became more evident with the isolation.

The track is popular with fans. The explanation is known to the trio formed by Vavo (guitar) and Thiago Guerra (drums), as well as Lucas. “These things happen to practically everyone. The highest level of fan identification is those who feel like they are telling the story of music. The audiovisual was directed by Gabriel Twardowski and was recorded in Curitiba, with Flavor Studio. The director tried to faithfully reproduce the music: “It’s a collapsing roof, not just walls that close, like in horror movies,” he says, dismissing what would be “obvious” when playing ghosts on the screen.

Fresno went to Rock in Rio invited by Itaú and TikTok. The show, however, was cheered as if it were on one of the main stages. Shamelessly, the band acknowledges that they “have been rehearsing for over 20 years” and can play for a large audience.

With the success of VTQMV, the band goes to Europe for the first time, again in September, as well as visiting four regions of Brazil.

The current impulse is to want to be what it hasn’t been in 23 years. This is evident when Lucas comments on the expectation that the show at Rock in Rio has “messed up the organization” and wants stages with more prominence. This can also be seen speaking with the drummer, Tiago Guerra: “We always work on new things, always coming up with ideas and exploiting them. And it’s huge, but already at work.

Fresno understands that cycles are happening. Without – many – grudges, the band doesn’t want to stop now and here.
