The 82-year-old ex-Beatle canceled five shows in Canada while filming at home
Ringo Starr shows canceled in North America after former drummer of Beatles positive result for COVID-19.
The 82-year-old singer canceled Sunday performances at the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan, and Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, Minnesota, citing an illness.
On Monday, a spokesperson confirmed that Starr and his band All-Starr would cancel five more shows after the former Beatle caught the coronavirus.
The five Canadian shows canceled included Winnipeg, Manitoba; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Lethbridge in Alberta; as well as the arenas of Abbotsford and Penticton in British Columbia.
The rest of his tour will be on hold while Starr recovers.
“Ringo hopes to recover as soon as possible and is recovering at home,” reads a statement. “As always, he and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and we can’t wait to see them on tour again soon.”
