Anitta is nominated for EMA, the European MTV Award

Anitta will participate in the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) 2022. She competes for the European awards in the Best Latin Artist category with the singers Bad Bunny, Becky G, J Balvin, Rosalía and Shakira.

This year the singer has already won the American – and original – version of the award, making history as the first Brazilian to win the MTV VMA (Video Music Awards).

The MTV EMA 2022 nominee list, released Wednesday (10/12) was led by British singer Harry Styles (who performs in Brazil in December) with seven nominations, including Artist, Song and Video of the Year.

Taylor Swift follows closely with six nominations, including Artist of the Year, Best Pop Artist and in the new EMA category, Best Long-Form Video. Nicki Minaj and Rosalía received five nominations each, including Music and Artist of the Year.

The MTV EMA 2022 will take place on the 13th in Düsseldorf, Germany, with live broadcast, starting at 9:00 pm, on MTV Brazil and on Pluto TV, Paramount’s free streaming platform.

Anitta’s nomination for the MTV EMA 2022 was revealed the day after the announcement that the singer will also compete in two categories at the NRJ Music Awards 2022, a French award slated for 18. At NRJ, she competes for International Female Artist trophies. and International Music for “Envolver”, which took her to # 1 on Spotify’s global chart.
