A judge denied the singer’s request Chico Burquesuing federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro for using the song Living wheel in an internet post.
Monica Ribeiro Teixeira, of the 6th special civil court of the capital Lagoa district, said in her decision that there is no evidence that the song really comes from Chico Burque, according to the column of journalist Ancelmo Gois, of the newspaper O Globo.
In the post published by the president’s son Jair Bolsonaro🇧🇷 Edward shows images of Bolsonarists prosecuted for anti-democratic acts. The caption that appears with the background music is “Brazil is under censorship”.
Living wheel, released in 1968, is one of Chico Buarque’s most covered songs. His lawyer, João Tancredo, will appeal the decision.
