The song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”, which is part of the soundtrack of the Disney animation “Encanto” (2021), was the most streamed song on YouTube in the United States in 2022. The information was provided by video platform itself , which has released its year-end ranking.
Since it was released late last year, the song has had over 500 million plays. But it wasn’t just on YouTube that “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” found success. The song also topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for five weeks and was the first song from a Disney film to hit No. 1 in nearly three decades (since “A Whole New World” to “Aladdin” in 1993).
In addition to “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”, the “Encanto” soundtrack also placed another song in the YouTube Top 10: “Surface Pressure” ranked 3rd with over 290 million streams.
2nd place went to the song “Super Gremlin”, by rapper Kodak Black. The Top 5 is closed by “Tití Me Preguntó”, by Bad Bunny, and “Wait for U”, by rapper Future, with Drake and Tems.
